Solid State Disk Utilities
Some disk-on-chip utility programs are factory installed on the solid
state disk. They are also included on the Allegro Utilities CD-ROM.
When in DOS, these files allow you to view the status of the disk and to
reprogram it if necessary ➫ DOS.
Name Type Description
DDEFRAG EXE Used to defragment the contents of the C: drive.
Run this on a monthly basis to keep the solid state
disk running at optimum performance.
DFORMAT EXE Used to format the Disk on Chip. May be needed
if the C: drive is corrupted.
DINFO EXE Gives the user information about the disk
including:
* Drive Letter
* Disk Size
* Software Version
* True FFS Compatibility
* Firmware Size
DOCxxxx EXB The Flash File System (FFS) binary code. The
small xxxx in the file name is the version number
of this file. The file extension will always be .EXB.
This file will be needed if the disk is corrupted
and needs to be completely reprogrammed at the
lowest level.
DUPDATE EXE This is the program used to reprogram the disk's
binary flash file system. This file will be needed if
the disk is corrupted and needs to be completely
reprogrammed at the lowest level.
