File Menu Options

The following functions are available from the File menu option.

New

The New option creates a new workbook.

Open

The Open option opens an existing workbook. You can open a PTab

ﬁ le (.pt), a Microsoft Pocket Excel ﬁ le (.pxl) or a CSV ﬁ le (.csv).

Microsoft Excel ﬁ les (.xls) are converted to PTab ﬁ les during the

desktop PC to Allegro ﬁ le transfer. CSV ﬁ les are ASCII text ﬁ les

containing values separated by a separator taken from the Allegro’s

regional settings.

Select Start | Settings | Control Panel | Regional Settings, then choose

the Number tab and the List separators combo box. To open a CSV ﬁ le

select Text Files (*.csv) from the Type combo box.

Save

The Save option saves the current workbook. If you have not

previously saved the workbook, Save works the same as Save As.

Save As

The Save As option saves the current workbook with a speciﬁ ed

name.

Delete

The Delete option deletes the speciﬁ ed ﬁ le.

Recent Files

The Recent Files option displays a list of recently opened ﬁ les.
