Power Management

The Mesa uses 1 or 2 Li-Ion rechargeable baery packs.

CAUTION: Only use baeries designed for the Mesa from an

approved vendor. Use of non-approved baeries may void your

product warranty.

Battery Life

Baery life on a full charge is generally up to eight hours per

pack (this can vary signicantly depending on the application,

backlight usage, and radio usage).

Baery packs last approximately 300-500 charging cycles. This

is impacted by the use conditions, environment, etc.

Charging Battery Packs

To charge baery packs, refer to the instructions in Chapter 1,

Geing Started. It typically takes 2 to 3 hours to fully charge 1

baery pack and 4 to 6 hours to charge 2 baery packs.

We recommend that you keep the Mesa baery pack(s)

charging when they are not in use for up to two weeks. When

you plug the Mesa into the wall charger that comes with the

Mesa or the optional Travel Charger, the baeries are prevented

from being overcharged.

Mesa Li-Ion baery packs are charged most eciently at

room temperature (68°F or 20°C). Only charge baery packs in

temperatures between 32°F and 104°F (0°C and 40°C).

CAUTION: The Mesa is not totally sealed against water and

dust when baery doors are not installed and properly latched.

Adjusting Power Settings

You can view and adjust the power seings from the Power

control panel. From the Home screen tap the baery gadget.

You can also go to Start > Seings > System > Power or tap on the

top title bar from any screen and select the baery icon in the

scrollable list of applications that drops down. A Power control
